The last of what I call the "Modesto Trilogy" or really should have called them back then.

When I first began working with Danny West and Chris Stevens, I was asked to come up with 'the ultimate scale' mecha for Chris. While Danny's Overload had the firepower of a small nuclear arms proliferated nation, Chris just wanted something he could live with. He didn't want something that went out of its way to be a bad mutha mecha, just something that was so big that cities had to get out of its way.

The Omni was that mecha. Virtually a giant living space with arms and legs. The Omni's basic function was to be a mobile-habitat mecha. The large backpack served as a base of operations as the mecha itself was based on utility, loader/hauler/mover.

On a side note, the design of the Warlock (my second mecha for Chris) shares a few design points that were originally used on this mecha.

The basic design screams "SAZABI" which I do not deny, at the time I was working on this, I was also cracking open the box to the 1/100 scale Master Grade MSN-04 model kit so I was really influenced by the design. Another pop note in its design was the standard model LEV from the Zone of the Enders series, take a minute to compare the machines and see if you can spot the details that came from it.
